The sun is dipping in the sky, casting a grim shadow over the low-hanging foliage of Ecruteak. The goldmine of history is easily any researcher's field day, especially those who study the history of Johto, and to a lesser extent, those who dabble in cryptozoology. The tower and a half on the north edge of town both cast a gloomy silhouette over the houses and residents... oddly enough, they all seem rather cheerful.

Everything seems to be run-of-the-mill here; Morty should be in his gym, and all other facilities seem to be in order.

Jones decides to look around the exterior, and see if he can find anything out there. He'll signal for Stefan to follow him.

"I'll be out in a second, Dr. Jones."

Noting the stares, Stefan recalls his pokemon and approaches one of the older men.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you, gentlemen. We have reason to believe that there's some unsavory types that have been using the tower as a meeting ground. Have you seen anyone suspicious lately, perhaps even more suspicious than my friend Jones?"

Stefan comes off as charming, but the old people just keep casting them the stink eye. "No, only monks. Monks with perfectly good business being here, unlike you!"

Nothing too out-of-place on the outside... the only thing that seems different is a freshly-placed poster advertising a religious gathering of the Tin Tower monks at the Kimono Dance Theater. This place is a lot less suspicious than originally thought...

Jones' eyes narrow, before he carefully peels back the poster to investigate behind it; in order to be thorough.

Stefan bows to the old men before finding his way out.

"I'm sorry to have disturbed you then. I'll leave you be."

Outside, he peers over Jones' shoulders.

"It looks like there's nothing here right now. Is it possible that something is going to happen here later?"

There is nothing on the other side... completely innocent poster.

"Maybe. Or maybe they simply moved someplace else." Jones taps the poster that he's peeled aside with one finger. "Perhaps we should check out this Kimono Dance Theater. If nothing else we could take in a show. But... something seems off."

Occult Edu to try and remember anything about the religious practices of the Tin Tower monks, and the likelihood that this is legit: [result]18&5:5:6,3d6,2,18&3d6+2[/result]

Stefan chews his lip and furrows his brow.

"I don't know. They specifically said Burned Tower, and there'd be some trace of them if they had moved.. If something's going to happen, its going to happen here I think."

He scratches his head, trying to pick his own brain for a moment of clarity or perhaps an urge from his gut.

Jones thinks... and this seems like a perfectly legitimate practice. The Tin Tower's monks are known to have religious gatherings often, for many reasons; they just like their religious holidays, it seems! As a town of history, the dance theater welcomes their practices, as would any other building in the town.

Stefan thinks for a moment... Rockets aren't known for their subtlety, or their skills at espionage. If there were criminals about, chances are he would have seen signs of it by now, one way or another. This is a small town, after all; surely anyone who's lived here for some time would have noticed anything out of the ordinary, but Morty himself hadn't spoken up about anything.

Jones lets out a frustrated growl. "This entire thing was a bust. C'mon Stefan, let's at least take in a show at the Dance Hall. Maybe watching some Kimono Girls dance will sooth my nerves."
