Ah, Johto. After spending the last few days in the staunch caverns of the Pyramid, it's nice to get out of the tunnels for a breather. The ever-so-familiar sight of wild Sentret and Metapod basking in sunlight is a contrasting image from what's been featured lately on this journey, and even the sound of young Trainers battling is also somewhat refreshing. Coming from Violet, there are two paths: one to the Ruins of Alph (south), and one that heads toward Goldenrod (west). Edited by BatiroAtrain, May 20 2014, 06:50 PM.

Aside from what he had seen before, there's not much in the way of rare mons out here... from the ones listed before, there's also some Pidgey and Spearow roaming about. |

With a soft sigh, Jason continued to walk towards town, not feeling the need to stop for any of these mon and holding himself up any further. |

Jason passes the wilds on, and they don't even bat an eye. After another while of walking, he comes upon yet another fork; straight ahead leads into the National Park, and going left will lead him closer to Goldenrod. |

Jason had to sigh at this point, noticing all of the forks in the road. He'd never made this trek before, but he never realized it was this crazy. Of course he had lots of places to stop on the way back but for now, he took a left to head towards Goldenrod. |

Jason rounds a corner, heading south toward Goldenrod... Eventually, he comes upon the edge of this tree path he's on, and is plopped out on the edge of some thick grass. There's another exit close to his proximity; this must be the exit from the National Park. Heading further South, Jason can spy Goldenrod on the horizon, with its massive Radio tower looming on the skyline. As he begins moving, Jason hears a few screams coming from the exit from the park! Suddenly, a tall green Pokemon jets out of the stonework tunnel to the side... it's a Scyther, headed toward Goldenrod!! |

As Jason walked, his eyes looked around, glad to finally see Goldenrod. But, upon seeing the Scyther, plans changed. Quickly he began to sprint after the bug. "We gotta catch that one...I need to catch this one." |

The Makuhita oblige, and give chase as well... but Jason is ultimately faster than them, and ends up far ahead of them in a matter of seconds. Still, give those fat things credit for trying! This Scyther's on a whole 'nother level, though. It's speeding along... Jason can hardly keep up. (Athletics) |

Jason puts his all into it, and for the briefest of moments, gets within striking distance of the Scyther while its back is turned...! |
