Ah, Johto. After spending the last few days in the staunch caverns of the Pyramid, it's nice to get out of the tunnels for a breather. The ever-so-familiar sight of wild Sentret and Metapod basking in sunlight is a contrasting image from what's been featured lately on this journey, and even the sound of young Trainers battling is also somewhat refreshing.

Coming from Violet, there are two paths: one to the Ruins of Alph (south), and one that heads toward Goldenrod (west).

Horui goes down from the assault, the large bug collapsing in a heap. Inei retrieves it, a bit sad that he had to push it that much, but he felt like he was that close to it.

Tekikaku wakes from his nightmarish sleep, and blasts the puff ball with an Aurora Beam.

The Clefairy is struck down by the beam of light! KO!

EXP

The two trainers are noticeably disappointed (the Quilava trainer moreso), but keep their word. Inei gains 1000 Pyen! The boy and girl then head their separate ways.

Inei returns Tekikaku to his Pokeball, and heads back for Goldenrod, to heal his Pokemon up.

Inei returns to the route, this time intend on making his way back to the Pyramid, over Violet City. He's happy with his victory earlier, though he was a bit sad that Horui went down.

Inei makes his way back easily, the routes clear of wilds and trainers not challenging the bug-man. (To Violet/Pyramid)

Merchant waltzes into the route, feeling like a king on his incredibly dopey looking mount. To Goldenrod!

Aside from the bugs and rats occupying the majority of the route and some young trainers, the path is clear. The people walking are in awe of the wingless bird sprinting down the routes; this Merchant stops for no man! (Goldenrod)

This...this was a good trade. Merchant should have given him the original request.

He enters Goldenrod.
