The island of Cinnabar is a small one, but its Trainers are notoriously tough. It's famous for having one of the strongest Gyms around, but the people are also quite hospitable. It's rumored that some research went on here once, but that's a rumor spread the robbers and vandals of the massive Mansion to the north... next to the active volcano. Pokemon Mart

Merchant picks up the machine, analyzing it to attempt to find out what he's missing. He then searches the Thug to find out what all the man had on him. [result]23&5:5:5:3,4d6,5,23&4d6+5[/result]Adept Tech [result]17&6:2:4,3d6,5,17&3d6+5[/result] Perception |

The machine is missing a critical component; fortunately, the thug is carrying it. Perhaps he was after the same thing? Other than that, the thug doesn't have much on him. Only a measly 300 Pyen, a Poke Ball (presumably Houndour's), and a knife. Probably just some bum looking for scrap to sell for a quick buck. |

Oddly convenient. Merchant pockets the machine as well as the 300 Pyen. And the knife. As tempting as robbing the Houndour was, he didn't want a stalker on his trail, and killing him would be too much work. Now that he had the energizer and the revitalization machines, he'd just need a fire stone. But first...to explore the rest of the place. There were many rare pokemon supposedly around here, and he intended to find them all. Especially that Ditto. Merchant begins to look at the books and documents, curious to see what he can find about the place. |

Merchant opens up one of the books... and a Fire Stone is inside, in a little cut-up space, like for smuggling. Who the hell was smuggling this? Edited by BatiroAtrain, Jan 14 2014, 10:15 PM.

What luck! Merchant pockets the stone and pauses before turning an eye to the Houndour. Taking his tools, he makes a small extraction from the Houndour's ear. Genetic sample obtained! From there, Merchant leaves, heading to the other rooms on the floors lab to see what he can find. |

This floor seems rather empty, aside from a bunch of ruined books and shelves. Beakers and vials are also littering the tables, but they are mostly empty... seems like many, many people have beaten Merchant to this place's valuables. Dammit. |

Deciding to give up on looting the floor, Merchant heads to the third floor to search for anything living. |

Merchant goes to the next floor up, the top floor... and a multitude of Rattata scatter. More scavengers! Funny enough, most of them fall into holes going to the bottom floor. Ow. |

Merchant had no interest in the Rattata, and decideds to get a good look of the room to see if there was anything worth finding up here, pokemon or item. [result]14&3:2:4,3d6,5,14&3d6+5[/result] |

This little attic-lab doesn't seem to have much going for it... unless Merchant likes old wooden tables and dirty chemistry sets, there's not much else here. |
