Theme Music is now mandatory

The torches lining the gravelly passageway abruptly stop, but the cavernous passageway is still seemingly lit. After a minute of shuffling, the source becomes obvious: bio-luminescent crystals are growing in the wall! They are small and round, but give off great amounts of light. The passage carries on for a while under this crystal light, but finally opens up into a bigger room.

The room in question is somewhat round and appears centralized, as two other passages split out the back wall and the right wall. The walls are not far from each other, ceiling is rather low, and there is no decor to be had. A few chests line the left wall, but most are open and obviously empty. A few barrels of gear, similar to the factory, sit next to the back passage's entrance. The back passage also is lined with wooden supports, to suggest the look of a mining operation.

The Sawk stare in reserved awe. They must know about Apricorns... and it must be part of the solution to whatever puzzle that is.

"Now, the question is: Where's the best place to find a bunch of Apricorns?"

Stefan hefts the club. He liked the scrappy little cubones, but he didn't know anybody with one. He tosses the bone, underhand, to his slightly round apprentice.

"Here is the prize for the boss. Merchant might know about apricorns, if he ever comes back to camp."

Barnaby , not expectig the bone, juggles it above his hands before finally getting a secure grab on it.

"Give me a week or two and I could probably figure out how to carve them. Doesn't help in the now, however. Perhaps it'l take a raw one if we can track it down."

"Perhaps there's a couple growing in the Greenhouse? We could backtrack a bit, unless you fellows here know where we could find an apricorn smith!"

The Sawk briefly look at Barnaby in unison.

They all choose to ignore him at the same time, and return to clearing the debris. They also take the chest off to the small tunnel, and push it through... looks like they were more interested in storage space than treasure.

Stefan returns his digging crew and heads for the tunnel.

"I don't remember seeing any in the Greenhouse, but its possible. We could also look in town for some. Wasn't there a town not far from here with an apricorn smith?"

"Bah! A round trip AND the time to find an apricorn and for him to craft it? That would take ages! Might as well send for merchant stock. Didn't one of you lads mention someone that took requests? We could just ask him to ship one in."

"Regardless, I'd rather seek out Apricorns in the brush within the ruins rather than the stuff outside it. Could you lead the way again? This place is like a maze."

Stefan merely shakes his head.

"Well, have it your way. I did my job, the rest is just icing. Let's head back, and see if your Sergeant can sniff out some apricorns."

Stefan dismounts the doduo once the tunnels and pipes get a little more treacherous. He approaches the last tunnel, the one that should lead to the lock.

"I told Mythrel that we might have a lead on more chambers, but he didn't seem particularly interested in it. Didn't say much else explicitly because there were others about. Oh!"

Stefan remembers something and pulls a small stack of bills out of his pocket. They seem a little creased. He hands the 600 py to Merchant.

"This was the payment for that Foongus. No finder's fee. You cut me in on this, remember."

With that, he crouches and begins to undignified crawl through to the Sawk dig site.

Merchant shrugs and pockets the money. It's not like he couldn't get a better price elsewhere, but it was worth a bit of good favor to spread it.

Merchant follows Stefan, observing the area for the first time.
