Theme Music is now mandatory

The torches lining the gravelly passageway abruptly stop, but the cavernous passageway is still seemingly lit. After a minute of shuffling, the source becomes obvious: bio-luminescent crystals are growing in the wall! They are small and round, but give off great amounts of light. The passage carries on for a while under this crystal light, but finally opens up into a bigger room.

The room in question is somewhat round and appears centralized, as two other passages split out the back wall and the right wall. The walls are not far from each other, ceiling is rather low, and there is no decor to be had. A few chests line the left wall, but most are open and obviously empty. A few barrels of gear, similar to the factory, sit next to the back passage's entrance. The back passage also is lined with wooden supports, to suggest the look of a mining operation.

With a good swing, the crystal plops out and falls to the ground! The full crystal is somewhat round on the visible side, and the part that was in the wall is conical, extending only a few inches into a point. It's basically a short spike that glows.

Stefan raises it to eye level, pleased, and then pockets it.

Jones turns when he hears a soft shuffling, but smiles slightly when he sees Owen entering the room. "Glad you decided to join us. I was starting to get a little worried. Grab a pick, it'll probably come in handy." He gestures at the remaining picks in the barrels. "Now, got any preferences to which passage to take? I tend to go with the left-hand rule personally." As he's speaking, Jones uses the tip of his own pick to carve a small arrow pointing up on the cavern wall next to the exit.

"Whew! Sorry that took me a bit longer. Oh my, what have we found here?" Owen's eyes sparkled in wonder at the glowing crystals. "I simply must take one of these as a souvenir for Seren." Appropriating one of the picks from a barrel - looking more closely behind them as well, in case a crystal or something else interesting might have already been loose somewhere - he attempted to pry a stone out for himself. "And I suppose Fir will appreciate another specimen as well. I must be sure to repay him for his kindness, after all. Just one more though... it would be a shame to loot this place entirely and leave none of its natural beauty behind for others to appreciate." He huffed with effort as he tried to free a glowing stone from the wall.

"An excellent idea, to mark where we came from! It's good to have a system when exploring," Owen grunted in agreement with Jones as he worked. "I'll trust your judgment when it comes to these ancient tunnels. Though perhaps I should have Kindle try to identify if any Pokemon have been down either route more recently than the other." The fox obediently began sniffing around both tunnels.

Stefan shrugs.

"We should split up. I'll take the one by the right wall there and you two can take the other. Its pretty quiet from the looks of it, so as long as we're careful we should be pretty safe."

He couldn't shake the feeling that he was just getting in Jones way.

Jones nods idly. "I've been mapping out the areas I've been through as best as I'm able. But it's hard to properly map out a three-dimensional route on paper, especially in a structure this large this large." After a moment of consideration, Jones nods at Stefan. "Alright, just don't get lost man." With that, he'll square his shoulders and lead Owen into the left-hand path, after the man has procured his own crystal.

Not much else is apparent in this little hub to Owen, but one of the crystals near the left entrance looks pretty loose. His swing is a little off, however, and the pick manages to crack the crystal's back; the front part of it falls off, but the pointy end is still wedged in the wall.

Kindle doesn't smell much aside from the same earthy scent, which grows a little stronger. The scent seems to be emanating from the left path.

Jones cautiously leads the way, keeping an eye and an ear out for movement.

"Please keep an eye out for my granddaughter, if you could!" Owen called to Stefan before they parted ways. Pocketing the shard of crystal he'd broken free, he followed Jones down the tunnel, he and Kindle keeping an eye and nose out for Pokemon tracks to try and identify anything that might have passed through recently. "So, I understand you've been exploring for several days now," Owen asked conversationally as they went. "What kind of amazing things have you seen in this place so far?"
