Theme Music is now mandatory The torches lining the gravelly passageway abruptly stop, but the cavernous passageway is still seemingly lit. After a minute of shuffling, the source becomes obvious: bio-luminescent crystals are growing in the wall! They are small and round, but give off great amounts of light. The passage carries on for a while under this crystal light, but finally opens up into a bigger room. The room in question is somewhat round and appears centralized, as two other passages split out the back wall and the right wall. The walls are not far from each other, ceiling is rather low, and there is no decor to be had. A few chests line the left wall, but most are open and obviously empty. A few barrels of gear, similar to the factory, sit next to the back passage's entrance. The back passage also is lined with wooden supports, to suggest the look of a mining operation. Merchant carefully approaches the package, briefly scanning it for traps. First he picks up the heaps of missed throws and the two cubchoo's. Then e gently picks up the package, unwrapping it. |

Inside the present is something wrapped in cloth, and a note on top of it. Merry Arceusmas Inside the cloth is a piece of Charcoal. Edited by BatiroAtrain, Dec 24 2013, 10:33 PM.

Merchant takes the piece of Charcoal out and opens up a small satchel at his side, filled to the brim with pieces of charcoal and similar letters before closing it up and hiding it away until next year. He does a small investigation of the frozen area, figuring this would be a good place for a fossil dig, as they would be well preserved. [result]9&1:2:1,3d6,5,9&3d6+5[/result] |

Stefan is suspicious at first, and yet his curiosity demands he approach it. Delibird were common in caves, yes, but not warm, subterranean caves. Which made the question more pressing. . . What was in the box? He unwraps it with trembling hands. |

Merchant digs and digs, particularly near the dry ice, but there are no fossils to be had. Stefan opens the box, revealing a small ribbon, as well as a letter on top of it: Merry Arceusmas The ribbon turns out to be a Focus Band! |

The mysterious affirmation is heartening. Stefan rolls up his sleeve and ties it tight around his upper arm. He was far more vulnerable than Krieger, and he had the zubat bites to prove it. Patting his iron one on the head, he leaves the room through the only door. |

The trash pit door exits out to the smelliest room Stefan has encountered so far. A circular room, lined by purple goo, covered in a whole bunch of litter and trash, emanating the grossest smell. An uncovered passage is on the other side of the room. |

Failing in his searching for fossils, instead he peers around the room and it's nooks and cranies, searching for loot. [result]9&1:1:2,3d6,5,9&3d6+5[/result] |

There's nothing much in this smallish room, aside from the massive chunk of dry ice in the center. It hurts just going near it. |

While such an ingredient might be useful later, Merchant is tired for now. Koffing at his side, he begins the long walk back to the research center. <Let me know where to post next> |
